Bubble letter I questions

Should a bubble letter I have a dot?

The capital I doesn’t. If you’re drawing a lowercase i, float a fat circle above the capsule with a clear gap — the dot becomes its own little balloon.

What should I color the bubble letter with?

Anything — markers, crayons, watercolor. The outline is drawn thick enough to survive enthusiastic coloring, and the letter is big enough to cut out for banners.
